Goin' to the courthouse and she's gonna get adopted

Judge talking to us about how happy adoptions make him and how he wished he had 1,000 more of us. He's talking to YOU bloggy friend- ADOPT! Needless to say, we were in tears.

IT'S OFFICIAL! The judge told me that she is so mine that it is like she came out of my tummy. :)

My BFF, her hubs and her mom came along too :) Superman, (Mr. Incredible's dad), left Dallas at 2AM to get to Houston on time! He turned around and returned home after lunch!

A year ago we were two hopeful mommies that had recieved bad news in the baby departments, (infertility for her and us losing our foster sons). Look where we are today! Praise God!

I have so much more say, but my computer is giving me a hard time. Just know we are over the moon and so thankful to God for all of His blessings!

Fritz

My computer is on the fritz- both of them are. :/ So I am sorry, but you will have to wait a little longer to hear about and see pics of her adoption.

I do however have a few pretty exciting updates. :)

1. I took her to the dr today for her 18 month check up and the Dr was most impressed with her speech and development. Her fine motor skills are really good and her speech is quite advanced! I knew she was smart, but to have a professional confirm, well, that was pretty awesome. :)

2. She (consecutively and without prompting), scooted towards me in the sitting position twice and then proceeded to get on her belly and "Army crawled" towards me for (AT LEAST) six strong pulls! She is mobile y'all!

If my daughter does anything else huge today I might explode!! I heard a fellow blogger/adoptive mom say this, "the only special need a child has is the need of a family." Truer words never spoken! :) People are scared to adopt special needs kids- well look at my really cute, fun, smart baby! Y'all are missing out for sure! :)

Thank You Lord for blessing Sweetpea with a strong brain and personality! :)

Mommy on the other hand is healing...

I have a staph infection and migraines at the same time. Yep, I am struggling a bit. Thankfully I HAD a baby that would lay with me all day no problem. Now she is pushing the pillow off the bed and trying to go after it. Yep, my little stinker is growing up. :)

It's official!

Sweetpea is officially our daughter and I am a quarter of a century old! {Crazy enough I keep forgetting it's my birthday} lol

The Phantom of the Playroom

Bolt brings out beanie babies into the living room constantly to get me to chase him. Needless to say its exhausting and frustrating when you have a baby in tow. I went in there to put a few away today and made an adorable and very annoying discovery. Bolt has figured out how to OPEN the bins and how to EMPTY them of their bean filled inhabitants. That boy is lucky we love him!

The Fabric of Our Lives

I couldn't sleep last night because of the anticipation I had over receiving these pics! Thanks so much Corey for taking them! I have been literally dreaming about getting a shoot in them, and now I have! :) I am in love, and I am considering redoing all of my decor just so I can display them all. Ok, so not really, well a little, but yes, I want to frame them all! :) I added a little artwork, (not that it was needed cause oh me oh my they were gorgeous, but I just like to get my photoshop on! lol).

Soon to be an 11X14 for my photo collage, (can you believe I haven't posted it yet- its been a few months since I made the collage- no worries, will remedy that soon)!

8X10? I don't know where I would put it, but I HAVE to have it somewhere! :)

If I didn't have a painting over my fireplace that I was in love with, you better believe I would be blowing this up to go there!
