Took Her Long Enough

Sweetpea has finally taken to ketchup. She usually gets a taste then spits it out, but last night she loved it! She especially loved dipping the chicken, over and over and over and over...

3 years and 1 day

Sweetpea is very loved at our church. She has many older friends who adore her. This little girl is 3 years and 1 day older than Sweetpea. :) She was tickled that their birthdays were so close together. I told her she could come over and play once the house was in order... I guess I better get to work! LOL

Two Point Five

Today Sweetpea turns 2 and a half years old! In 6 short months we'll have a 3 year old! I can.not. believe it!

She is such an immense joy, and is ridiculously well behaved, (remember how well are adjusted to sleeping alone this week? Come to find out, she's cutting her top 2 year molars- while transitioning like a champ! I'm telling you she'd win a contest...).

I posted this picture yesterday in a group, but it deserves to be alone. I love how she's playing away, having a blast, basking in her 2 (now 2.5) year old glory. You'll see much more of her friend here. Sweetpea is older than her by a month! It's safe to say they'll be bffs before long!

I am in awe that God chose us to be her parents- what did we ever do to deserve such a gift?! God is ridiculously good and we are ridiculously blessed!

2 going on 16

I greatly enjoyed VBS simply because Sweetpea got to play with kids her own age. :) Thursday and Friday we to the kids outside to play and Sweetpea was left out, (understandably, not rudely), because of her inability to walk. Well, towards the end of play time Thursday, Sweetpea jumped right in and joined the fun of "driving" a car in the playground. Warms this mama's heart to see her diving in without being inhibited by her disability!

A few days ago a helicopter came to VBS. Here is Sweetpea posing near the A on side of the copter. :) I looked for a B to show sissy that we're thinking of her, but I was unsuccessful. :/

Almost There

Once we've settled we can have our home study and bring home Briar Rose. I can't wait!

Angel Baby

I know every mother on the planet thinks their child is the best baby ever, but I can honestly say with unbiased certainty that Sweetpea could win an angel baby contest. Everyone who meets her is blown away by how chill she is. I'm serious y'all, she'd win the contest!

Tuesday night we transitioned her back to her bed after sleeping with me for pretty much 5 months. After discussing it with her all day, she barely fussed at all and the second I got to the door she was silent. As we all expected, Mommy had a harder time with this than she did! LOL

She amazes me, but I missed her so much last night!

Here are some pics of her at VBS yesterday. Its so cute when tiny angels sit at tables, and I don't think I'll ever get over her feeding herself- gets me every time,  (she feeds herself all the time so you'd think if be over it by now lol). While she was eating I brought out my phone, and she turned to me and said, "cheese!"
