Living Room Sneak Peek

First off, in response to the pink in the kitchen, (and the additional pink you are about to see)...
.
I am very blessed by my husband in so many ways. One way is that he is all that is man. There is not a feminine bone in his body. One special thing about his masculinity is his love for his daughter. I always thought he would want a son, but years ago I discovered if he had a choice, he would want a girl first.
.
I am the decorator in the family. Thankfully Mr. Incredible lets me run free with the decorating. He has no problem with the colors, not even the pinks. To him, the house is my domain where as he has his shop. No pink allowed in his shop. ;)
.
Secure in his masculinity enough to allow his wife and his daughters to be as girly as we want! :) Thanks Babe!
I painted the living room today because my peel and stick wallpaper came in sooner than I expected, (it will get its own post soon). I thought the wallpaper was pink and it came out red! BOO! I was going to return it, but I have decided to just paint over the red with pink. The color scheme of the living room will be purple, blue and pink. I am ecstatic about this room! So many people have pinned gray rooms on pinterest, and I didn't see the draw- until I painted with it. I love it!
.
Tomorrow I will paint the red pink and finish painting the kitchen. Tuesday the movers come and then the real fun begins! lol

Kitchen Sneak Peek

The kitchen was in bad shape. So, I made lemonade out of lemons, and its pretty fabulous! {normally I wouldn't do pink like this, but this is a fix for about 5 years until we completely redo the entire kitchen. For now I am loving it :) }

Goin' to the Chapel

I have been dying to post this all day! My brother proposed to his girlfriend minutes ago! I so wish I could have been there, but there is no way for us to leave when our house is unlivable. We need every spare moment to get it in order, (not to mention it takes money we don't have to get to where they are). I'm quite disapointed to have missed it, but I am thrilled to have a new sister. She is my Sister in Christ, but I am excited that she will be my sister-in-love now too! :) EEEK! I can't wait for the wedding!!!!

Sneak Peek Saturday

We have so so much to do today. We will be at the house all day working on our floors.
.

Whenever someone has a baby, throws a party, decorates, etc, I check their blog constantly because I cannot wait to see the pics! So, if you are anything like me, I figured I'd throw you a bone and show you a preview of our dining room/hallway...Seeing the paint is strange, but I promise you will love it once our stuff is there! {it looks so much better in person} I love that our walls turn in a way that I can do diff colors without them clashing. Our other house was too open to allow for fun paint, so we are excited to have color back in our lives!

For the love of Bristol and Minnie

{Dining Room, done! Hallway just needs to be touched up today! pics soon!}
.
All day Tuesday Sweetpea would say, "Bristol." That evening I was talking to her about her baby sister. How she could hold her, feed her, share her toys etc. Sweetpea kept saying, "hold baby. feed baby. Bristol. Sister." Be still my heart! Bristol, our Briar Rose, we can't wait to have you here!
.
Thursday morning, while we ate I switched on the tv. I flipped through the channels and stopped on 16 and pregnant just because nothing else was on. Sweetpea immediately lit up at the sight of the newborn. She kept pointing and saying, "baby," over and over. Then the baby started crying and Sweetpea said in a pathetic voice, "ky-ing," over and over. She then proceeded to cuddle her Minnie as if she was a baby. :) Someone is ready to be a big sister! (Sweetpea is not allowed to watch TV, being in a hotel has forced her to watch a little lol).
See her little Minnie? I needed to get her one that I felt comfortable allowing her to sleep with. She loves this Minnie and has her with her all day! Also when we bought her the Minnie, we found this awesome hat!! Oh, remember these pajamas*? Well, I am wearing them right now and Sweetpea keeps pointing to them saying, "so cute! pajamas, Minnie Mouse" hehe She sure loves Minnie!
.
Oh, this pic is from the day that I did her pom poms a second time, (I remember because of her outfit), lol. Earlier that day, (before we bought these Minnies), a lady commented on her Minnie Mouse ears, (her pom poms). Since she loves Minnie we smiled- but was I supposed to be offended? lol I don't think the lady meant anything rude by it, she was very nice and loved Sweetpea.
.
*my pajamas are from Target and worth every penny! You should get some for yourself! :) I am not a long sleeve pj person, but these are so so comfy!

Update Schmupdate

I am totally loving all of this! :)
  • Sweetpea's room: 85% done. I need Mr. Incredible to take out a built in before I can finish, and I ran out of paint. This is on hold until both of the afore mentioned things are taken care of.
  • Dining room: yesterday I stripped all of the wallpaper off myself, (it was a first, I was quite proud- post to come). Above the chair rail is painted, below the chair rail is 70% done- will finish today
  • Hallway is 50% done- will finish today
  • Kitchen 50% done- will finish today or Friday

Still to do:

  • Rip out carpet in Sweetpea's, Briar Rose's, and our room and paint floors in living room, dining room, hallway and the 3 bedrooms.

All of this will be done before we move in and begin decorating! lol Yeah... we're busy but I'm lovin' it!

Around March 20ish, I will paint the living room and our bedroom.

After that we have to redo the playroom and bathrooms- timeline on those TBD.

Workday Wednesday

I have been busy busy busy. Yesterday I began fixing up the kitchen and painting Sweetpea's room. On my agenda today: finish the kitchen and Sweetpea's room, (wasn't able to finish either because I needed a ladder- check!;)), strip the wallpaper/paint the dining room, paint the hallway, and MAYBE rip up the carpet in both Sweetpea and Briar Rose's room. I am definitely enjoying myself. I'm sick, I know. ;) I would be there now, but Mr. Incredible insisted I not stay there alone tonight. He wants me safe, I can't really complain. He loves me well! :)
Here is Sweetpea posing in the square in between the playroom and the kitchen this past weekend. :)
.
Oh, and today is 1 month until our 5th anniversary! :)
