More Poems...

Last week, as most of you may have noticed, I have found some inspiration for poetry. I have never been poetic, but in three days I wrote 5 poems, 2 songs, and 1 children's book in poem form. Let me tell you, I was more surprised than you are! The second "song" I wrote was for Tracie which I may share this week. We shall see. It seems my muses are my future children, and of course my relationship with Christ! Enjoy:

Worth It

Across the oceans
Or in the next room,
Living in an orphanage
Or in your mother’s womb.

We don’t know who you are,
But we know who you’ll be:
A precious addition
To our little family.

The days feel like years,
All we do is wait.
We’ll never become parents
It seems at this rate!

You are so worth the wait
And are so worth the fight,
But living without you
Just doesn’t seem right!

Wherever you are,
Just know this is true:
We’ll love you forever
Because we already do!

***********************************************************************

We Already Love You, Whoever You Are

We already love you
Whoever you are
Wherever you’re living
No matter how far!

We already love you
Whoever you’ll be!
Nothing can stop our love,
This in time you will see!

We already love you
As your Mommy and Dad,
But waiting for our baby
Does make us a bit sad!

We already love you
But God loves you more!
His love makes us rich,
Even if we are poor!

We already love you
Though we don’t know your name
We love you today
And forever will be the same!

#4 Completed!

Both of our households are pinching pennies since we are both building homes! I had buy one get one free coupons that expired 9-8-08, and Spaghetti Warehouse is my FAV restaurant, so we had to make this a priority. :)

Me and my hubby... I LOVED this pic on the camera, but seeing it this large might hurt my opinion! He sure looks handsome though! :)

Me and B! Such a great friend, and future Aunt to our future kids! :) I love this picture of us... minus my double chin... even when I was a skinny little 5 year old I had a double chin... I think I need more of a chin bone or something... lol

#50 completed!

#50- make a painting worthy of being on the wall!

If you know me, you will know I cannot draw, even if my life depended on it! I was at Hobby Lobby and I saw tracing paper, and I thought that little cheat would help me be able to draw Jersey. So I traced Jersey... (oh, and even this was difficult for me... there are 3 Jerseys in the trash right now... yeah, I'm that bad at drawing, I can't even trace!) ha! Anyway, so I decided to trace Jersey then put him in my painting. Since my kitchen will be daisies, I decided to paint THE Jerz in a field of daisies. I am actually very proud of my leaves. I never thought I could do layers like that. Oh, I HAD to add the ♥ with our initials carved in it! ;) This painting was very hard to photograph, but I think you can get the drift... :)

Happy Birthday Sweet Husband!

Happy 28th Birthday to the most amazing man in the universe! I am SO blessed to be married to you! I hope you liked your card this morning and there are some more surprises later today!
I LOVE YOU
When we first met! We were already in love, but we hadn't seen each other in person yet! :) (we met online, and for the first month fell in love over the phone and in pictures).
2 years ago tomorrow! One of my favorite days ever!!! Great Job Honey! :)
This IS my favorite day ever! Here is My  Lobster with his True Love and his First Love! (yes, I am referring to the truck)! :)

**********************************************************************************

Last night I wrote my first song! There is a tune to it, so reading it may seem strange to you without it. Well, it is based on three different Bible verses, (10pts each if you can figure out which). :) I wrote it because it was inspired by one of my favorite verses about not worring. Once it was done, I thought My Lobster would really appreciate it as his birthday present. I was going to wait to post it here to surprise him BUT My Lobster had another stressful day yesterday. With work and bulding a house, my poor husband can get a little stressed! He turns to me and says, "just tell me it will all be ok!" Oh, Praise You Lord! I told him that I had something better, and I asked him to read my song! It made him feel much better! I am so thankful for this song, and I hope it helps others too! (like I said it may be strange without the tune, but yeah...) enjoy!

Why Worry?
Look at the birds of the air
How they fly without care
They do not reap or sow
Because they know
There’s no need to worry!
Our God is reassuring!
Oh He has perfect plans,
And all time’s in His hands!
So there’s no need to worry!
If our God is so providing
For the birds in all their gliding,
Won’t he provide more for you?
Just believe this is true:
There’s no need to worry!
Our God is reassuring!
Oh He has perfect plans,
And all time’s in His hands!
So there’s no need to worry!
Oh there’s no need to worry!
Let this be reassuring:
God causes all things
To work together!
He’s always in control
In all kinds of weather!
Yes, He has perfect plans,
And all time’s in His hands!

So there's no need to worry!

Where Did These Come From? God I Guess!

I have NEVER been poetic, so I have NO idea where these are coming from, but enjoy! See also: I Dream of the Day

A Parent’s Prayer
Out of obedience and faith,
We prayed and we prayed.
To adopt all our children
Is the decision we made.
While in your mother’s womb,
Being woven and spun,
God was preparing our hearts,
For our daughter or son.
The Lord heard our prayers,
And He chose you to be,
Our sweet, precious child
Who would bless us abundantly.
We give thanks to You Lord,
And we pray we become
The parents You intended
For Your beloved little one!

No Greater Joy
Nothing would bring me more joy
Than to see or to hear
That my children walk in Truth
Everyday of every year.
That they lift up their hands,
And they shout to the Lord:
“I need you Dear Jesus!”
Choosing Him on their own accord.
There is nothing I want more,
There is no greater desire,
Than to know where they’ll go
When God calls them Higher.

What’s Higher you ask?
Why, it’s Heaven of course!
The ticket in is Salvation,

Jesus being the One True Source!

(If the first stanza seems familiar, it is because it was inspired by 3 John 1:4)! :)

I dream of the day.

I have never been very poetic, and this poem may be a little cheesy, but oh well. I wrote it for our future adopted children. We cannot wait to adopt. If we were having children the old fashioned way ;) ( just kidding), we would have a little more patience. BUT, since we are adopting, our hearts ache for all the orphans, and our hearts yearn to love on our sweet baby, (babies). We know it is God's timing, so we are patient, but we also are looking to the future with excitement, dreams and hope.

Enjoy:

I dream of the day when God smiles down,
And shows us which child will be ours for now.
The day we adopt you and carry you home,
Where you will always be loved and never alone.

I dream of the day when we will see,
If a prince or a princess you will be.
The day I can dress you in blue or pink,
Whether son or daughter, our hearts will link.

I dream of the day that our waiting will end,
You will become our child, whom God will lend.
The day you will enter into my arms,
Where I will always protect you from hurt and from harm.

I dream of the day that you will be mine,
To love and to cherish until the end of time.
The day I can raise you to know and love Jesus,
From sin and from strife, He is the One who frees us!

I dream of the day that you come to know the Lord,
The One with a gift that we could never afford.
The day that you accept His gift that’s free,
We will be the happiest parents anyone could see!

I dream of the day, because it is not yet our time,
So we are waiting on the Lord for His timing Divine.
The day we want so dearly, we must wait for it some more,
But we love you already: yesterday, today and forevermore!

Love, Mommy

♥ The Princess Bride ♥

I love the movie The Princess Bride... definitely one of my all time favorites! I just finished the book, and I have to say it is truly hilarious, and it is a wonderful love story, (duh, right?)! :) William Goldman is the actual author, but he references "S. Morgenstern," and he claims to be abridging his work. Well, that is all made up too, so there are two stories in this book, and it is done brilliantly. I wish I could go back to last summer when I had a class in Fiction... this book would have been awesome to do for an essay! :) I HIGHLY recommended this book! I will reread this book my whole life! It was awesome!

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book...

(my favorite quote from the movie is: "death cannot stop true love, it only delays it awhile").

  • in chapter one, Buttercup realizes that she is in love with Farm Boy. Her confession covers two pages, and is amazing. It will take too long to write here, and I doubt if it was here anybody would read it, but I highly recommend this book especially cause this part! (If you want to borrow my book you may, and I will tell you where you can find this...its awesome!
  • "Do I love you? My God, if your love were a grain of sand, mine would be a universe of beaches." Westley, Farm Boy, to Buttercup
  • "When I left you...you were already more beautiful than anything I dared to dream. In our years apart, my imaginings did their best to improve on your perfection. At night, your face was forever before my eyes. And now I see that that vision who kept me company in my loneliness was a hag compared to the beauty now before me." Westley to Buttercup
  • "Now Westley knew what she meant to say 'not a single syllable of it,' because a syllabub was something you ate...But he also knew an apology when he heard one. So he held her very close, and shut his loving eyes, and only whispered, 'I knew it was false, believe me, every syllabub.'" (more marriages would stay happily ever after if we could all use this refrain!) :)
  • "Buttercup was searching somewhere for a sufficiency of courage. Evidently, she found it in his eyes."
  • wondering if they will make it out of the Fire Swamp:
"How can you be sure?" "Well, because we are together, hand in hand, in love." (Buttercup then Westley).
  • "It doesn't matter whether you sent the ships or not. Westley will come for me. There is a God; I know that. And there is love; I know that too; so Westley will save me!"
  • Sonny, don't tell me what's worthwhile-true love is the best thing in the world, except for cough drops. Everybody knows that." (Miracle Max, ha!)
  • "Liar! Liar!"... "Back, Witch-"... "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife!" (this is in the movie too, this line cracks me up EVERY TIME I see it! Miracle Max and his wife).

So, here was a little romance for your day! Go home and kiss your sweetie and thank God for the blessing He gave to you! ♥

Happy Birthday to Me! :)

For my 22nd birthday today, My Lobster  and I had lunch with my mom, then we had dessert with a few friends. I had a great day. My hubby took a day off to spend it with me so I was VERY HAPPY about that! :)

MLobster and me at BJ's for lunch with my mom. My dessert was the pazookie, (or something like that)... IT WAS AMAZING! Pink candle too.... how did they know? ;)
Me and my friend B at Outback for dessert. Her husband C and  My Lobster are BFF, twins separated at birth. We are both so thankful that we are great friends too, (how terrible would it be in one set were bff while the other set hated each other, ya know?)
My friend J came out too! I am so glad we have become friends, and I know we have so much fun to look forward to in the future! :) (we have always known each other, but we have recently gotten close). :)
My Lobster and C playing while we were waiting. This picture was not staged... they played with this for a good 15 minutes! A little girl was playing with them at one point too! ha! When they get together B and I lose our wife roles and we become mothers to two 5 year olds! Seriously! I think this picture proves my point, if not the next one probably will...
What did I tell you?! lol
