2012: Bittersweet

oh, 2012
Hardest year for the Keierlebers to date! Definitely bittersweet.
We moved out west and were thrilled with our decision. Now a year later, we are still thrilled with our decision! We love our new town! SWEET
We moved into an hotel for 2 months then into a (temporary) house for almost 4 months. The transition was very hard on us. I mentioned that here. Definitely BITTER.
Then we moved into our house now after seeing God move in our favor- here and here. SWEET
I have kept this part to myself, but this year didn't only hurt me- it hurt our marriage. BITTER
I mean, 6 months with a 2 year old in between you in bed. 6 MONTHS. So much intimacy lost. Def put a strain there. Then, as I have said, I have been experiencing hormone issues that have made me feel like garbage and made me gain weight. The hormone issues have made me feel a little depressed, also adding to our distance.
Now, our marriage was never in danger or anything. But, this year was a low point in our marriage. Thankfully, our marriage was always a 10 on a scale of 1-10. This year it was an 8. So like I said, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as it has been.
I am thrilled to tell  you that we are back to being a 10! It took work, but it was so worth it! Fight for your marriages my friends!! SWEET
2012 also brought 2 brain surgeries for Annie, and an additional hospitalization! BITTER
BUT, we have had multiple tests that turned out GREAT and Annie has begun walking in  her braces! SWEET and SWEET
2012 brought a year of bliss with Annie! No matter how hard this year was, I am still thankful for it! Part of me says "Good Riddance" to 2012, while the other part of me is a little sad to see it go because of all of our moments with Annie. So many amazing memories with our angel. SWEET
2012 in review from Annie's perspective:

Thank You Lord for blessing us in 2012 and carrying us through the hard times! We are thrilled to see what 2013 has in store for us!

Splish Splash

My mom gave Annie her first bubble bath when we were in Houston- it was a hit to say the least:
