Keepin' Busy

How does a Mommy keep from going crazy when waiting to meet her babies? She decorates their rooms! :) As shown yesterday, I have been working on the birdie room... I have been working on a few things, but here is one completed project:
I already had these little pillows and they were in my donate pile, (bought at a garage sale when I was in high school- nothing too exciting). BUT NOW THEY ARE! ;) Once again, another free, hand painted decoration for my little girl's room! Lord willing of course!

Prayers appreciated! ♥

A Little Birdie Told Me...

I hope you are continuing to pray for our adoption process. Our application will not be officially submitted until Monday. :/ I ask for you to pray for 2 special girls, that we are hoping to adopt. I will not divulge anymore information on the subject just yet, but please be in prayer that:
1. God's will for the girls' future in our lives to be apparent
2. If it is not in His will for us to be their forever family, that they will be placed in an amazing and loving home!

In the chance that we get them, I have been planning their rooms. Come on now, what would you do? :)

For the littlest, she will have the cow nursery as seen in a precious post, (which will be MUCH different than what is seen in the pictures). :)

I have been trying to decide what to do for her older sister. Today, I figured it out! I LOVE that birds are back in style. Some of them are super cute! I was at Hobby Lobby today, and found some bird wall decor that I will TOTALLY buy if we get them. I wanted to buy it today, but I didn't want to jinx anything. ;) AND since I LOVE pink, that will be a staple color in her room! :)

Even though I worried buying those birds would jinx us, I do not believe what I did today will...

I found this print on Etsy today, and I LOVED it! I bookmarked it and saved it for a future purchase. Then, inspiration hit! I was in my craft room and I found the left over art board from my cornice box, and decided to try to recreate the print myself. I don't think it will jinx me because it was absolutely free, and even if I get blessed with a boy, I can use this elsewhere! So without further adieu...

Now keep in mind I am severely artistically challenged, but I think it turned out pretty good! What do you think?
My FAVORITE passage in the Bible is Matthew 6:25-34. I have it in my house at least 4 times, in different ways of course. :) Here is number 5! :) Her room will be Birdies and Flowers, so the theme of her room is Matthew 6:25-34! She will have a worry free room! ;)

Please be in prayer for our process and the potential of these two girls! You have no idea how much your prayers are appreciated! ♥

The Week of Charlotte

New pics of Charlotte:
Charlotte was obsessed with trying to eat/drink from Jersey's bowls. Stinker! :)
Paul called me over to see where Charlotte was. She had crawled in herself and fell asleep. Apparently this breed like to burrow. Obviously. lol

We have sold Charlotte. I put an ad out online on a whim. For the price I asked for her I thought no one would bite. Well, within 2 hours, I got the full asking price offered! I couldn't say no! The buyer has had Lhasas for the last 30 years, and was sad that he just had to put his to sleep a week ago. Actually pretty cool story: at the exact hour, (give or take some minutes of course), he was putting his baby to sleep, we bought Charlotte. It is like they were meant to be!

Why did we sell her in the first place? Well, I was very appreciative for my gift of Charlotte, and very excited to have her in our family. The problems started, as y'all know, with Jersey. He hated her! I have to say that he was getting a little better, but he was still not himself. Now that she is gone, he is 100% happy again! I almost forgot what that was like! Anyway, Jersey is spoiled but not THAT spoiled! When we have kids, he might feel the same way, but we WILL NOT send them back! :) Sorry, Jerz! ;) He was PART of the reason for selling. You see, I started running numbers and I realized that she was going to be expensive. Real expensive. Ok, I am not stupid- I KNEW THAT WHEN I GOT HER. It is just that I didn't realize HOW expensive! We are about to start a family, and the money I would have to spend on her yearly could be spent in a much better way! So, we were not sold on selling her or anything, but I decided to put it out on the web just to see. I had a certain price in mind, and I had low hopes for a. meeting that price, and b. any interest at all. There are so many dogs for sale, ya know. I really thought, we will try it, and once it fails we will be one big happy family. Well, as you know, I got a bite within the first 2 hours. I was shocked! It really worked out for the best. We are great doggie parents, but she is in a GREAT home and will get LOTS of love! :) For the money I got for her, I was able to buy two expensive items that we have REALLY needed! Charlotte was a huge blessing in many ways! :) I hated to see her go, but it was for the best.

In other news:

So, today Paul and I are FILLING OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AND I WILL SUBMIT IT TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!

The process will take 3 months, and after that we will just have to wait for a match. SOMETIMES, they already have matched you by the time you get through the process. We are praying for that! We could be parents in 3 MONTHS!!!!!!!! Pray for this time please! We are soooooooo thrilled!!!

In fun baby news, we will be adopting from Africa in about 3 years, (once we save up the money- very very costly). If I could have my way, I would want to be able to adopt twin boys right now,
(in Jan we had a shot at adopting some, but they have been adopted into a wonderful family- Praise the Lord- I still have a place in my heart for twin boys though!). I have already started planning the nursery, but I want to save that for when I get my baby from Africa, (I would like a girl, but of course I will happy no matter what). :) SO, if I get my way with the twins, or with a boy in general here is what I plan for his/their room:

VEGGIE TALES!!!

Found these pillow on Etsy, and here is my thought. On the left bed have the left pillow and on the right bed have the right pillow, (this is if I get the twins of course). If no twins, I still want these pillows!!! :)

Fabric!!!!!!!!! Bedding, curtains, you name it. This is not the only style, but just to give you an idea. See why I want this for a boys room? :)

For the walls:

Wall side 1:

3 foot poster 1
3 foot poster 2...
on the other wall I would have this 5 FOOT Larry wall decal, (he will be free standing, without the orange thingy seen above)...

And who can have Larry without Bob? This vinyl is 2.5 feet tall- since Bob is much shorter than Larry. How cute are they? :) (Obviously will be without the green background as well). :)

SOOOOOOOO excited for whomever God has planned for us! Please be in pray over these next few months with us! Thank you for sharing in this journey! :)

Bleh and Book

Yep, that is how I have been feeling for like the last 5 days- bleh! Without getting into too much detail- since I was a month late my Dr. gave me estrogen to make me start. The estrogen has done a number on me! I'll leave out all of the details except that for the last 5 days I have been super nauseous. I have "morning" sickness ALL DAY, just without the baby on the way. Yeah, fun, fun. Little things get to me now. For instance, one of my FAVORITE smells in the world is puppy breath! Seriously, when I got Charlotte, I just smelled her breath all day. Now that I am nauseous, her breath makes me sick. Any smell, actually, is making me sick. :/ I took the last pill on Sunday morning, so I know the side effects will wear off any day now, I just wish it would happen today! In my nauseous state, I have been a bad blogger. I have cute pictures of Charlotte to post, but feel like poop, so I probably will post them this weekend.

In other news, my book is in final production, and I will get the final draft at the end of this month. Once I okay it, it will be sent to PRINT!!! :) YEA!!! I year after I wrote it, it is in final production! How cool? :)

I had Steven Leonard take my picture for the back cover. What do you think? (I wish my roots were not there, but what can I do)? :)

Sibling Rivalry

Jersey hates Charlotte. He will get over it, eventually. Poor baby! (See his pic below for more details). :)

Why the name Charlotte? Jersey is named after New Jersey or Jersey City, (I didn't name him, but I liked it so I kept it), and so I gave Paul the honors of naming Charlotte. I suggested we name her a state/city to go with Jersey, so he came up with Charlotte. I like it! :)

Here are some more pictures of Charlotte. :)

When we decided to get her, this was the picture we sent Paul from my mom's phone. Can you see why he had to say, "yes"?
Gangster Charlotte. No, I did not prop her like this- she is a rag doll and rolled into this position. You have to admit- it makes you smile! :)
Besides the fact that Jersey had to get shaved which already made him look pathetic, he has looked like this since Saturday. There was some progress today- he isn't mad at me anymore, but he still hates Charlotte. lol
Cheese Charlotte!
How awesome is this shot? I had to beg Paul to let me get her, and so I was a little concerned at first. Well, Paul has SLEPT with her for the past two nights. You think Jersey is spoiled- she is gonna be a nightmare if he keeps this up! lol Since Jersey is a Momma's Boy, I told Paul Charlotte could be a Daddy's Girl- I think he is set on making that happen! lol

Charlotte

Camp was AWESOME as expected! :)

When I got home I had a OBGYN appointment to find out why I got 2 false positives. He said that since the tests sit in the warehouse in the heat that it is not impossible to make them mess up. I got an ultra sound so I know 100% that I am not pregnant. I have polysistic ovaries, so I am on meds to fix it. No, not help me to get pregnant, just to fix the problem.

For my birthday, (this coming Tuesday), my stepdad booked us girls a room in the woodlands, so I just got home from my AWESOME birthday weekend!!! Guess what they bought me....

On the left is my sister's new dog Sammie, and on the right is Charlotte!

Charlotte is a 2 month old Lhaso Apso. ♥ Jersey is jealous- he will get over it! lol
